The class I am focusing on this week is Kettlercise......

This is a really popular class.....if you are looking to add weights to your workout as we know this helps us

Tone the body
Change your shape

Help your body burn fat faster

​​​​​​​Improve muscle tone

Then this is the class for you!!!!


​​​​​​​You will need to bring along your own Kettlebell and I suggest between 2-4kg


You can find this class on my timetable on a 


Tuesday at 8pm Coppice School

Thursdays 6.15pm Falcon Lodge Community Centre

"Loved the class! The class does go by really quickly, even the structure of the class is great, it helps you take your mind of the aches as your constantly changing things. How Do You Stay Motivated To Work Out In The Winter?

The nights are dark......

​​​​​​​The weather is cold......

The lure of the sofa is there...snuggling and not bothering to go out and do your exercise.....

BUT

Do you know that it only takes 2 weeks for your fitness levels to start to reverse.....so you have spent all year building up your fitness for it then to start to decline!!!

​​​​​​​How about the fact that exercise is excellent for your mental health so sitting on the sofa is not going to get you that endorphin buzz

Or the big one.......your bum being on the sofa is going to spread!!!!!! 

SO 

​​​​​​​My message is DONT GIVE UP......KEEP GOING FOR YOUR RUNS OR BIKE RIDES OR OUT TO YOUR CLASSES

It is so important.....for so many reasons!

Have you tried Yoga?

So each week I am going to focus a little on a different class you could try.....this class will be one from my timetable but if you aren't close to me then have a google and find a class near you perhaps....


So this week I am looking at my Freestyle Fitness Yoga Relax class...

​​​​​​​Yoga is a great way of exercising without impact.....it is great for

Stretching your muscles
Reducing stress levels
Working on core strength
Improving your flexibility
Getting in tune with how your body is feeling

Working on your balance
Increased muscle strength and tone.
Improved respiration, energy and vitality.
Maintaining a balanced metabolism.
Weight reduction.
Cardio and circulatory health.
Improved athletic performance.
Protection from injury.


So many great reasons to try a yoga class.....they are a great addition to any exercise schedule......

I personally love to teach this class...it leaves me feeling refreshed, relaxed, stretched and with a clear mind...from time to time I like to teach the class in candlelight and that just gives even more of a relaxed feel to it....

You can find my class on a Monday morning at 10.45am at Holy Cross Church Hall Walmley or a Thursday evening at Falcon Lodge Community Centre 8.00pm...

My Top 5 Tips to help lose fat from your tummy

Today I want to tackle the issue of fat around the middle as I know that lots of my clients would like to lose fat from this area.
 
The main point I want to make is that all the sit ups in the world will not help you lose fat from your tummy if you are not eating right.
 
They say that abs are made in the kitchen and this is very true so here are my
 
Top 5 Tips to lose Weight from your Tummy
 
1. Cut out sugar....a diet high in sugar will contribute to fat being gathered around your middle
 
2. Cut out toxins like caffeine, alcohol and processed foods. When your liver is working on overdrive to clear out toxins it can not burn fat
 
3. Get enough quality sleep and cut down on stress. When we are tired or stressed the body releases Cortisol which is a stress hormone that encourages the body to hold onto fat stores in a sort of fight or flight mode
 
4. Drink lots of water to help your body flush out toxins and reduce bloating around your tummy
 
5. Eat good quality fats, coconut oil is my favourite, it will help you feel fuller for longer and enhance your metabolism
