Why Should You Be Eating Avocado?

Hi,

You may have thought in the past, indeed you may still think now, that avocados will make you fat

Perhaps you have been told when on diets in the past that they are very calorific and should be avoided

​Well thoughts on that have changed somewhat and these wonderful little things are full ofhealthy fats that can do wonders for your weight and health

​Here I share with you 5 reasons to eat avocado

1. They are full of fibre which help to keep your tummy healthy and your blood sugar balanced.


2. They will fill you up for longer, they contain oleic acid which activates the part of your brain that makes you feel fuller longer


3. They contain good fats that help keep your heart healthy and lower your cholesterol

4. They are low in sugar, they are a fruit, however they have far lower sugar content than other fruits

5. They taste good! I love to whizz an avocado up in the blender with some almond milk, chia seeds and some blueberries as a super heathy breakfast

So those are my top tips on why popping some avocado into your shopping basket is a great idea!!!!

Jay's Jive!

Hi,

I absolutely had to write about this this week!

Who saw Strictly last Saturday and that amazing jive??

I watched it three times and actually cried I loved it so much

Dance and music has that affect on me I'm afraid, I just love it so much and do you know what I love so much about Jay.

That he doesn't seem to even realise how good he is....that is so endearing I think, you can see his nerves and he seems shell shocked with the comments.

I completely think a 10 from Bruno was deserved!

I loved Jay from Week One and I think he stands a very good chance of winning

Lemon Drizzle Cake

Do you like a sweet treat at the weekend?

​If you do then try this yummy cake recipe, I made this last weekend for our sugar free afternoon tea on the Fitness Retreat and they loved it!

Lemon Drizzle Cake


100g butter

200g dates

175g gluten free flour

1 tsp baking powder

3 eggs

2 tbsp almond milk

1 lemon


Pop all the ingredients minus the lemon into a food processor.

Grate the lemon rind into mixture and process to a smooth consistency

Put the mixture into a greased loaf tin and bake for 30 minutes at 170 degrees

When cooked remove and pop some small holes in the top, squeeze the lemon juice over the cake


Enjoy!

I am going to be in The Sun!

And not on Page 3......!!!!!

Yes today I have been asked to do a piece for The Sun newspaper about post wedding blues.

The come down that lots of women experience after the big day


So I am being whisked off to London to their studio, I will be having my hair and make up done and a stylist is styling me!!


Woohoo!


​I have never done anything like this before so it is very exciting!!

The only catch was that they wanted me to take my wedding dress along and be photographed.....


Well can you guess the first thing I thought????


Will I fit in it???


So Jamie was dispacthed to the loft to find it and then there was the tense moment which I suspect lots of you reading this will relate to.....


Was the zip going to do up????


The answer is yes it did!!!!!


​I wasn't convinced it would and if I am honest it is a little more snug, but it fits and seeing as I have had a baby since getting married I am happy with that!!

So keep your eyes peeled, I will let you know when I am going to be featured.
