Top Tips To Banish Bloating

8/22/2016

Do you suffer with bloating?

Does it make you embarrassed and uncomfortable???

Being “bloated” is the feeling of having built-up gas in your digestive system that makes your stomach protrude out uncomfortably.

Some people suffer with this terribly and thankfully in many cases it isn’t anything to be alarmed about, it usually clears up with simple changes to diet and routine.

Here are my top tips to help with this....

Try herbal teas such as green tea which are known to soothe the stomach.

Add herbs and spices into your diet such as ginger, rosemary and oregano.

Add water rich vegetables to each meal such as cucumber, leafy greens and celery.

AVOID sugary and processed foods these aggravate and promote inflammation in the body.

Swap your dairy for almond milk/ coconut milk.

Cut out the gluten! Going gluten free is much easier these days with products available in all supermarkets.

Try a short meditation every few days to relieve stress and anxiety.

Get to bed nice and early and create a bed time routine to help you sleep better.

Do a 10 minute HIIT every morning to kick start your day

Let me know if you try these tips and if they help!

Are You Stressed??

8/22/2016

The more and more I work with one on one clients or talk to people in my live groups I realise how much stress can and is affecting people

And this can be a massive factor in people not getting the fat loss they want

We can all get stressed about different things..what bothers me, may not bother you and vice versa

But all these little niggles that build up day after day week after week can put a tremendous strain on the body

And when your body is full of the stress hormone Cortisol it is hard to lose fat!

So if you are eating well and exercising but not getting results take stock of your stress levels!!

Here are a few of my tips for managing it....I hope you find them useful

Do some exercise....this is a great stress buster

Get out in the fresh air...going for a walk is a wonderful way to relax

Eat well and stay hydrated...love your body enough to fuel it well and hydrate to keep your brain sharp

Deal with negative influences......that person your friends with on Facebook who constantly pulls everyone down with negative comments...remove them

Establish a morning routine that involves some exercise, 10 minutes just to sit with your morning cuppa and relax and a good healthy breakfast of protein and good fats

How many times do you weigh yourself?

8/17/2016

I asked this question in my Get Healthy with Kelly Facebook group last week

I got lots of messages saying that people were weighing themselves daily or even more than once a day!

Why????

If you are a weigher, I would urge you to think about a different approach...

Measuring and taking your photos is a much better way of doing things and that is what we advise at Kick Start Fat Loss

Yes my clients will record their weight once a week...but never more than that..

The reason...

Because

Your weight can vary from one set of scales to the other
At different times of the day or month
Scales can be faulty
Why is our whole day determined by a number
Plus if you don't like the number your whole mood is affected!!!!!!

Now with measurements and photos you can see exactly how your body is changing, go by your clothes, find something that you want to fit into again and keep trying it on

Their is a popular fitness coach around at the moment who calls the scales the "sad step" and I agree!!

I would love to know our thoughts on this???

I am intrigued to know whether you are addicted to the scales???

Hi

It was my first day back at work yesterday after my holidays last week

I have to be honest and say I do like getting back to normal...well sort of normal as the kids are still off!!

I had a great week away but the place we went to in Devon wasn't bursting with healthy food choices!!

I was home an hour and desperate for an avocado....sad I know!

So my question for you today is how do you feel after a holiday?

Happy to be back to normal.....or not??

I suppose clean eating and exercise is such a massive part of my life that I miss it.....

Maybe your normal is eating unhealthily and feeling how I felt last week?

If it is and you are sick of feeling bloated and lethargic lets help make your normal

FEELING HEALTHY LIGHT AND BRIGHT!!!!

Get in touch if I can help
