Do you make them or do you think they are a waste of time?
Personally I don't make new years resolutions, however I do like to set myself goals throughout the year instead. Is that the same thing? Possibly yes?
I think its great to have goals to stick to but for me being really hard on myself and giving stuff up in January is just not a great idea.
I find January can be a bit of a difficult month when its cold and dark, you are still paying off Christmas so are shorter on funds and you are maybe carrying a few extra pounds from Christmas in the waistline!!!
So I like to be a bit easier on myself in January and try not to do anything too extreme and then I set myself goals all through the year instead.
If you do like to make New Years resolutions, do you stick to them?
Thats the other thing you see, if you make them and then you break them after 2 days how does that make you feel. Like you are a failure possibly which nobody wants to feel.
Making New Years resolutions and setting yourself goals are the same thing really but I just like to do that all year round and make them small achievable goals rather than say "oh its January so I will give up XYZ, workout for 2 hours every day and make sure I am happy every single morning" too much pressure, do you agree?
So what are my goals for this month.....
I want to lose the extra pounds I gained at Christmas
I want to attend and pass my Piloxing course
I want to have a sugar free month ( as I have to confess to eating some chocolate and ice cream over Christmas, I am only human though!)
If you want to share your goals for this month or perhaps your new years resolutions if you are someone who likes to make them then hit reply and let me know, I would love to hear what they are!
Classes have been jam packed this week and if that is because you have all resolved to come along to more classes then great and those are the sort of resolutions I like lol !!!!
It has been great to be back in class and I want to welcome all the new faces, 2015 is looking like a really exciting year with all the new things I have planned, the new Piloxing class, a monthly mash up class, fundraisers with our nominated charity Breast Friends, a fat loss bootcamp in February and the launch of my brand new online Hot Body 28 Day Diet plan.
